More converter bolt issues.r

I'm installing a rebuilt trans and got almost all the job done. Now I can't get one converter bolt started in two of the holes. It appears all the holes have been painted. ***? The tech osupport said they send all their transmissions with paint the converter holes. I guess I'm the only stupid one

If you tighten the first 4 bolts before you tried the last 2 I would loosen them and then try your two bolts again.

What he said, plus try to determine if it's the bolts or the holes that give you the troubles.

A bottom tap wouldn't be bad to clean the threads up with, assuming you aren't reusing old bolts so that shouldn't be a problem....
