more boost

Any ideas how to build more boost? I have a boost elbow in and it is cranked all the way down but when I step into it I barely build more than 20 pounds of boost and my exhaust temps jump way up. I tried crimping the line right behind the elbow but that did not seem to make any difference. Am I wrong in thinking that if I had more boost it would lower my exhaust temps?

What else has been done to it? It's a balancing act with stock turbo to keep temps down.

I have slid my afc housing foward and added a 100 fuel plate. Also have 4 inch exhaust. I just tightened my star wheel a bit and I hit 25 pounds. I am wondering if my waste gate is stuck open a bit.

It takes more fuel to make more boost.
