More boost

I would like some input on making more boost. I can't get but about 26 psi at WOT. I would like to make about 30 psi if at all possible. It feels like I have too much fuel and not enough of that other stuff. Any input on making boost would be much appreciated.

Re:More boost

75 psi every day unloaded! Have you adjusted or blocked off the wastegate?

Re:More boost

No I haven't touched the wastegate I don't want to shut it off because I don't want to overspool the HX-35. I don't know how to adjust it though so if you could help me out in that area I would be much obliged. [undecided]

Re:More boost

The hx35 is very tough! Mine hit 50 psi with a 18 housing! There is a threaded arm on the bottom side of the turbo. At the end of the arm it is fastened on the wastegate with a clip. Remove the clip and pull free from the WG. Then just losen the nut at the end and hold the rod and shorten it. Less threads is what you are looking for. But it would be easy to block off the line from the AFC housing thus disableing the WG.
Fell free to contact me anytime if you need help. jradkinspainting@msn.com

J.R.

Re:More boost

Thanks J.R. I'll get to it as soon as I can after class tomorrow. I wish that they would let us work on our vehicles down here in class but insurance reasons prohibit it.
Thanks again,
C.J.

oldred97: You do have a boost elbow? If not, get ahold of Piers or where you bought your injectors.
