Louder at idle, 1250, and 1750 rpms. Just started randomly a few weeks ago, much different that the usual timing gear noise, its the engine not the tranny, its not the ac compressor because I'm running a non ac belt.

I put a 24 valve oil pump in last weekend and I checked all the gears and they look brand new. I got a reman vacuum pump and aftermarket steering pump im gonna put in, its probably one of them, my steering fluid if pretty burned so 2 birds with one stone but still wanna know what you guys think.

It's been a while but I've replaced everything engine driven/gear driven, I drove around the block without a belt and noise is still there, follows engine rpm independent of the tranny, It existed before I changed the oil pump, seriously can't figure it out and it's driven me nuts. My truck only has 130k miles.
