Million Mile Dodge.... WOW!
I read this in another forum and did not find it here. Pretty cool. The owner says he goes 8-9,000 miles between oil changes too, obviuosly highway miles though, but still towing!

DC and the Dealership should get together and give this guy a new truck. It would be good press for them, of course whatever he gets after that 12V isn't going to run a million miles.
Cool story. Wonder how many other (original) million mile passenger vehicles there are out there? Probably none?

I've read of several million mile CTDs over the years.
In Europe many taxi fleets use diesel Mercedes and million mile plus rigs are quite common. The record is held by 1976 Mercedes Greek taxi cab with 2.8 million miles on the clock, same driver it's entire life.

When I was a kid there was a million mile mercedes diesel in a popular mechanics magazine. The motor died at 900 thousand and was replaced but the guy still rolled the odometer over a million. The dealer ended up giving him a new mercedes for free and putting the old one on display on the sales floor for PR. I still have that article around the house somewhere.

I see I'm not the only one thinking along these lines. I luv these trucks but they sure do come with there share of quirks. I was wondering about the KDP, injectors and mostly the seats. How could you sit in these stock seats for all those miles and being a little on the older side to boot. I aint buyin it. Not a doubt in my mind that these trucks could make it but not with that little a work along the way.
