lower coil spring perches

I finally got out today and pulled the wheels on the front of my truck getting ready fro inspection time to check the brakes and ball joints and other stuff.
I got to pecking around with a small hammer knocking off flaky rust when I hit the lower front coil perch.
Not good.
They are still in one piece but rusted pretty thin.
looks easy enogh to replace them but I am wondering where a fellow might get some new ones.
If I make new ones can I make them with a 2.5" spacer and level my truck at the same time or does the extra height have to be added at the top for some alignment issues?
Any one ever make these?
Any help is appreciated.
Oh, I need to replace one ball joint but I will probably do all four while I have it apart. Who makes a good ball joint that comes with a grease fitting?
Thanks again.

Hello Starflite, the spacers usually go on top, you can make the bottom bast plate with some plate steel and then cut rings off of a piece of pipe to locate and hold the spring in place, should be easy job just takes time. I get my ball joints from Auto Zone or Napa, I've seen a few threads in here specifically about the ball joints. How is the condition of your trackbar ? Those don't last but 20k miles or so. I get mine at auto zone for 130.00 but am thinking next time get the one for the 2003 model and the mounting kit. I've read here that is one of the better ways to go. Being that we have the same year how does your truck run ? Joe

Joe, thanks for the reply.
Track bar seems tight and when I replace it I will also go with the later bar and adapter kit.
What control arms do you have? I was looking at those today as well. rubber bushings seem to be about shot.
I have really neglected my truck over the last 2 years.
My truck runs good but I am not to 300 hp. It still has stock injectors and DV's and the rotten converter that came with it. Man, I hate that thing. I am still on the fence about changing to a manual trans.
PLans for the near future are:
300 hp injs.
larger DV's
3000 rpm springs
and if I ever get enough money a built auto or the G-56 6speed.
I can't make up my mind.
