I just got a 98 12v that i want to run a set of 38" michelin XL's on(pics in my gallery). About how much lift will i need to clear them without any rub at full stuff? Also any suggestions on kits or what to piece together to make one work? I am looking for a kit that will allow me to go fast off road but still be able to crawl. I don't want it to be a hardcore race truck or crawler just looking for something that can do both well.

So what do ya guys think?

 

I have the same year..I am looking at putting 33's on mine and have the same type question. I know I can probably pack em in but I don't want it to look like a Jeep wrangler with no room to spare. Do I need a mild lift and a leveling kit?
