Kind of rough at WOT?

I'd like some input from 12V owners as to what their engine sounds and feels like when you get into it with heavy throttle. My truck feels and sounds very smooth under normal driving conditions. If I stomp on it, though, it changes to what I'd call kind of rough feeling. It vibrates noticeably and the sound changes to a rougher sound. Power is good and I get good fuel economy and the engine uses maybe 1 qt of oil every 5-6000 miles. I'm wondering if this is normal for a 12V and if it's not what might be causing it. Thanks for any input.

Yes, my truck makes quite a bit of smoke at WOT. The smoke is gray to black. Somedays ist's solid black some days more of a gray color.

Perhaps clogged air filter or a fuel restiction caused by plugged filters or bad overflow valve.
