KDP jig kit

I have been reading all of the info on the KDP and would like direction or insight into purchasing a KDP jig kit. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Denny

Harold's email is rvhvnfn@juno.com
I have the kit and highly recommend it, the wrenches make getting the fan off so easy.

Re:KDP jig kit

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I did find Harold's email and have ordered a Jig kit (KDP) for myself here in Hawaii. I have my truck and my buddies to fix at this time.

Denny

Re:KDP jig kit

How much easier is it to use the jig than to just remove the timing cover? I still need to get my KDP done.

Re:KDP jig kit

The jig fix is really easy. All you remove is the fan and fan hub and the belt. The shroud is just loosened and pushed back out of the way. It took me an hour and a half to do my first, I've done 5 now and I'm under an hour now. BTW, anybody near Philly who would like this taken care of, send me a PM.

Re:KDP jig kit

Just got my KDP done.
took about 30 minutes with the jig. Very nice.
Of course this was in a diesel shop with all the
tools.

Re:KDP jig kit

I just did my 12er's this week

1st one = 2.5 hrs

2nd one = 45 min.

I was suprised that the long screws went in all the way considering they both have +/- 200 k miles. I wonder how far the pin can work out before it has to be tabbed instead.

I sleep much better now.
