Ok,I killed that killer dowel pin ,did it myself,haven't owned it for long and it's my first real truck .next is valve adjust & timing.any suggestion on where it should be? I don't pull much of anything right now and live at about 2000ft.

15* or 15.5* is good for right now or until you get more fuel.

From what everyone has said, the advance will actually improve your mileage (1-2 mpg), give you more power, and help with cold starts.
