As far as I can tell the only thing that was not stock was a K&N air filter and I changed it out for a stocker. Checked the intake tube and it was bone dry and clean, no oil but I changed it anyway. Anyway here are a few pics. Just a stock 98 3500...

I too think you got ripped off. I'll offer a money back guarantee though and take that rag for the amount you paid and then burn it so that noone else gets ripped off on it. Who would want a sorry old worn out 12 valve anyway!?
Chris
That is an awesome truck, really. Nice find. And for that price, consider yourself very fortunate. It should make a very nice truck. What part of NW Ga you live in? I am in West Central Ga. I am working with some people from Ringold.

LOL!! I am in Summerville. I love this truck. I have put about 1K on it and the thing is as tight as new. I have been all over it and as far as I can tell nothing was ever touched as far as any mods, still has the factory exhaust. The pump has never been touched. The thing even has Mopar brand batteries in it. A couple friends and I just finished killing the KDP with the TST kit, KDP was beginning to ease out but not about to fall out yet. Very easy fix. I did have to replace the radiator due to a crack in one of the plastic end tanks. I also had to replace the factory thermostat as it was beginning to stick closed. While I was in there I also replaced the factory clutch on the fan just for good measure. As far as I can tell it is good as new now. Holds a steady 170 to 175 deg. Thanks for the comments. I have had 24 valve Cummins engines in a 98.5, 99, 2001, 2003 and a 2004 trucks. All good trucks and good engines but I swear I love this 12 valve and its power characteristics much better than any of the 24 valve engines. I guess it is the throttle response that I like so well (throttle cable hooked to a good ol mechanical injector pump). Sorry so long & thanks again.

Congrats on the rare find! I've had my '98 12-valve for 3 months now and really enjoy driving it. I think you did just fine on price considering the low mileage and clean condition. I paid $9700 for mine, but it's not a dually and had 140k on the clock. I'm averaging 20mpg with 75% highway/25% city driving.
