Today I noticed my truck "shaking" at idle. I looked under the hood thinking maybe air was getting into the fuel system. The only visual sign I see is 4 of the injectors(2-5), are wet around the base. The truck is stock with 170xxx miles. Does this mean my injectors are failing? If so, this could be my big chance for bigger injectors!

 

I let the truck sit all night, it cranked up good and strong, a little shakey around 1200rpm, and no smoke of any kind unless you rev it up. The wet spot around the injectors is bigger than yesterday....anyone with an idea??

 

I would snug up the injector fuel lines and hold down bolts before doing anything else.
Don't get carried away and break them.

 

Thanks Infidel, I'll do that after work Monday. I'm gonna price a new set of injectors to see what $$$ I'm looking at. Still cheaper to fix this than make payments. I'll check back in after I check the hold down stuff.

 

I checked the fuel and return lines, all tight, #3 seems to be the worst, it's leaking from under the inj. nut. Wierd thing is it seems to leak more when it's turned off???
