Has any one used one of the Bully Dog p7100 pumps on your truck to replace the bosch. I found them on line and they are priced 500-600 dollars less than the bosch pumps. Anyone know what kind of quality they are or what kind of service you can expect from them. I may be needing a pump and would like to go the cheapest route I can but not if I have to give up the quality part.
I have not used their rebuilt pumps, but they will be Bosch. No one makes a full replacement pump for the Bosch P7100. The aftermarket guys, and I would expect Bully Dog to be the same, generally have their pumps rebuilt to equal or better than Bosch specifications. I never would pay the premium to buy a replacement from Bosch or Cummins, but would always go to the aftermarket and get one from a known performance house like Bully Dog, or from one of the good rebuilders.
Tom I called Piers, quoted me a price of $1650 for a stock pump. I can get a rebuilt 300hp pump with a 3k gsk in it for a little over $1400 or a stock one for a little over $1100. Haven't checked anywhere else yet. These prices came from Cyclone diesel performance parts. I think they're around Dallas.
