ignition?
ignition?
so I have my 97 ram 3500, I bought it a new ignition switch, come in in a few days, but wondering if that really is the problem. When I try to turn the truck over some times it will start (starts strong) but then some times the ignition dues not turn over, makes no noise besides where it sounds like its hitting the relay under the dash, but no clicking at all. I can go under her and tap it at the starter and she fires right up (with a screw driver), I am going to be making her a push button start tell the ignition comes in, so I guess my question is,is there any relays or solenoids that could be out? I do not have a diagram of the fuse box under the hood so I cant tell what each of those fuse do, if some one has a pic that would be great
I am 16 just got the license and it don't look to good when you are climbing under your truck to start it with a screw driver

It does sound like bad contacts in the starter solenoid. Check all connections first and have the batteries tested under load. If all is good go to the site below, he carries all the parts needed to rebuild the starter. People do this because most of the aftermarket units at auto parts stores don't hold up, they are too light. The Denso starter is not hard to rebuild and instructions come with the parts.
