I own a 1998 2500 turbo diesel which recently has been blowing the 30 amp under the hood maxifuse. This fuse protects the ignition circut (which I know when blown will not send power the starter). I first noticed this because the abs trouble light came on, along with the air bag light and then I noticed that the speedometer was not working either. Anyway any insight into this problem would be appreciated.

 

Check for loose connections at starter and for frayed spots on cable. A loose connection can blow these fuses as well as a bad ignition switch.
