i need a 95 front wheel bearing!!

so yeah i wanted to fix the fron driver's wheel bearing on my 95 next week...stop by Napa, dodge and another place and all they sell is the hub assembly...its over 350$!!!...i have presses and gear pullers and and impact gun for the giant socket....i need the wheel bearing by itself! so whats the deal?? ....anyone have good news for me as to where the part is??....i would at least like to repack the bearing with grease before i ever pay 350$!

bearing/hub

If you have a place that specalizes in bearings they may be able to match it up , I do this all the time , the other day at may coffee shop my friends comercial blender seazed up , the part at the bottom of the container that the blade and bearing sit in , he said that his restrant supply wanted 90.00 for the hole unit , I took a look and took it apart went to a place nearby that sells almost nouthing but bearings and seals and match up the bearing for 11.00 I charge buddy 40.00 and he through in lunch. I have'nt done it on this truck yet so I can'nt give you a part # , give it a try.

You don't get just the bearings, you get the entire HUB. It has the inner and outer bearings installed and pressed together complete with the flange for mounting the rotor. Mine even came with new studs to bolt the adapter to the hub(dually). I thought the price was a ripoff too but when you see (and feel - heavy) what you get it is not that bad. I had to replace one so far after about 180 000 miles so the price did not bother me too much. Strange thing was the best price for me was actually at the dealer.

The bearings aren't available separately you have to buy the whole hub. Many have tried and failed including me. Even going by the p/n on the bearing and dimensions only no luck.

If you have a press, just do it yourself. I have done both of them on my truck. You have to buy the whole darn hub. Cant remember what it cost me now. The 2nd one i bought was cheaper.

I just ordered a new bearing hub for mine today at car quest, $198.00. Strange, it's on my drivers side too.
