I cant rev the engine
I cant believe nobody knows how to tell me how to reconnect/repair a lame/broken throttle cable. It appears to be disconnected from whatever comes from the cab. A hint or explanation would be helpful if not a total relief. I have a habit of ignoring the obvious and am at a loss as to what happened to the thing. I hope i am not just shouting into the wind. this forum has always been really helpful as well as very informative 30 CC
start at the p pump and have someone work the throttle. follow the cables from the pump till you see where something moves then between that and whatever is before it is where the problem is. sounds dumb but have you looked where it connects to the accelerator pedal yet? some cables break. iirc there is a recall on the first couple years of 2nd gens. oh yeah i am pretty sure the cable goes from the pedal to the p pump and you should be able to get a new one from a parts store or a dodge dealer. i drove my grand 'okee today or i'd go look at mine.
From the pump, next to the TPS there will be a rod running back to a bellcrank, 5" or so long. The Bellcrank will then be connected to the throttle cable. It is kinda buried under the stuff above.
