Well my 08 5500 is nice but its just a work truck, So I bought a 1997 dodge 2500 CTD 12 valve CC long box 4X4 5 speed. what kind of mods should it do to have some fun with her? So far it has 3" exhaust, AFE stage 2, and the pump adjusted because she blows black when I romp on it. let me know what else I can do!!!

theres a 12 valve in an 08? I want one! Anyways, it sounds like your fuel plate and/or afc housing may be tweaked but does it fall on its face around 2500 rpm? if so, throw a 4k gsk in it. The question is how much power do you want out of it? The plate, afc, and gsk will about max out your stock turbo. A 4in exhaust and timing should help egt's.

How much of a toy , or better yet , what is the budget , are you wanting to do all at once or take some time ???
Do looks count , there is some expensive stuff that costs , but does more to make it look fast then really go .

x3 on the KDP. 97 was the worst year for it.

Gauges, plate, GSK, clutch, exhaust. That should be good for 325 to the wheels. After that, its a little more expensive.

You don't want one those old 12 Valves. For fun you should bomb it real good though, and take it for a shakedown ride. Then I'll come over with my flatbed and take that old truck off your hands. HeHe. I want one someday. What year model is best 12 Valve with a P-pump of course. Oh, Congrats, and good luck.

Don't think it's any worse it's just that more '97s were sold than any other 12 valve year.

Sorry I should have left out that I have a work truck (my 2008 5500) and that is a 24 valve HAHA yeah I wish it was a 12 v and did not have EGR or DPF!!!!!!!!

Anyway yeah it dose fall @ 2500!! I am looking into the 4K GSK kit Thanks

First I will get boost Gauge and pyro so I can see my current Temps/boost and then do mods without blowing up (even though it is hard to do)

How about a FASS or Airdog? Or is my mechanical transfer(lift pump) good enough?
