Hydrogen Chemical fuel Injection

has anybody heard about this new thing where you inject Hydrogen Chemicals into you fuel to boost your mpg? i have a friend that works at southwest research center and said that there was something like that out an he said it was for diesels too! has anybody done this or does anybody know anything about this?

havent heard of hydrogen injection, but it sounds like the same principal as propane injection. if i remember rite diesel burn somewhere arround 40 efficiant by itself, 70 % with trubo, and 90% with turbo and propane.

Skip it. Use the money you'd spend on synthetics and fuel. This is a pie in the sky "come on" deal.

I bought a HH2 generator for the wife's truck and installed it on my last R&R. I actually lost mileage with the unit. These systems run off the alternator output to power the element. The unit needs 25-30 amps of electricity to produce max H2 and that's a LOT of power. Because of this demand, my alternator was constantly overloaded and dragging down the engine.

If you really want one, I'll sell you one cheap.

Real world claims are only about 1 mpg with propane injection.

ya see i was being told that it would boost my mpg at least 10 or something like that. so this doesnt really work?

Nope, not right out of the box. If you have a big enough alternator and little electrical demand then you may be able to get a gain such as on an older 12v. But as a rule, don't waste your time and money.

There is a thread about this in the alternative fuels under general diesel discussion. And yes it does work I did see 3mpg better on my 97.

see there was another place that was supposively putting a computer in which helped manage things and thats when they said that the vehicle was getting better gas mileage
