How much Boost?

I recently moved the #10 fuel plate forward and now can achieve boost over 35lbs, what is the safe limit? I have the stock turbo.

i run 50-55 with twins, i wouldn t go over 35 with a stock single by choice anyways. probably wont hurt anything but your turbo wont like it if you do it a lot.

How much boost are u making? If youre makin just a hair over 35, id say youre fine. I think the efficiency range for these turbos is supposed to be around 32-35 psi. If youre making much more than 35 i would look into some options to get it down a little.

Boos gauge goes to 35, and the needle will go past that. Can't run it there for too long though cuz the egt's go crazy

that is because the hx35 only makes HOT boost after 35-37 psi.
I know cuz mine does the same thing.

The stock charger is really only efficient to about 27psi. Once you go past that the efficiency really starts to drop quickly. If you are having EGT issues that means there isnt enough air to efficiently burn the fuel that is there. A good charger is going to give you close to the same throttle response as a stock turbo, but it will flow alot more air. This will help to make a little more power and to bring down the exhaust gas temps as well. Our Super B is setup for the hp range you are running in. You should see a drop in EGTs and also a small increase in power.
