??? I need some help. Am I the only one that has had this problem? I went to relieve my parking brake yesterday and the handle stayed out--like I was pulling on it-by it's self. Now the darn thing doesn't latch and retain the tension on the parking brake cable.

How the heck do I fix it?

It sounds like the release is hung up, look at the park pedal assembly and find the clip where the cable from the release handle goes in to the an arm that locks the actual park brake cable, now push the arm toward the front of the truck. it should release and "pop" forward, watch your fingers! if you cant find it mail me and i'll take a pic for ya.
