Help with dodge electrical problem

ok. first of all not my truck anymore, well my transmission was out so my dad bought the truck off me and replaced the tranny with his 'friend" who's a mechanic. Long story short they tried to change the fuel filter, did not know they had to prime it............mechanic? LOL......... well my dad kept turning the starter and i think must have overheated it. He turned it until it would not turn anymore! just a click. The ABS, BRAKE, and check engine light are on now and you can only jump it from the starter. I think two contacts in the starter silenoid must have melted together creating a short, but I don't know why you would be able to start it by jumping the starter if things were melted together.
The truck runs if jumped from the starter , but no power windows, locks work!, no a/c . Anyone think its the starter solenoid he over heated? is the computer fried maybe? fuses are good too!

check all grounds, bad grounds can cause all kinds of weird problems..
and by all grounds i mean engine ground, etc.. overloading the system like that can melt wires if the grounds werent great to start with.. adding grounds is always good insurance, i added an exra ground from the battery to the alternator bracket..

Got it, bench tested starter it was bad, probably melted inside somewhere, replaced it to no avail.... Then, replaced the ignition switch I bought at NAPA, super easy bought tamper proof torx bits and took lock cylinder out and switched it to new switch plugged it in and everything works perfect
THANKS
