Heater grid gasket

Hi all,
Where can I get the gasket that goes between the heater grid and charge piping manifold? I tore mine a bit (****!) when I took it apart to have more room to install the 100 plate. My local stores dont have a listing, but do have a listing for a intake manifold set. Its special order so id have to pay for it jsut to look in the set. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Travis

Just cut one out from bulk gasket material sold at any autoparts.

Don't mess with cutting your own ... you may be prone to boost leaks .. CUmmins P/N 3969988 ... get two depending on what year truck you have and you can trash the grid heater ground strap. This is the new PN for the new gasket.

Huh?
I've been making my own gaskets for forty years without a problem. I'm sure many here would say the same thing.

Yeah as long as it doesnt rip, I dont see why it would leak over any other gasket....And sadly I dont have a cummins dealer close, only dodge dealers and im not paying $50 for a $5 gasket.

If it is the same as my 24 valve I can send you one. I got mine from NAPA and didn't need it. Just let me know.

Not that you can't make your own ..... I've found plenty of "ho made" intake gaskets that were the cause of boost leaks ..... I too have fabricated more gaskets than i care to think about .....

Rammin On,
I'm curious, were the hommade gaskets you have seen ripped, or just inconsistant material thickness?
