having issues w/surging and my tranny 96 12 v

Exclamation Having surging issues blue smoke and cutting out! PLEASE HELP.

Hi, Iv ebeen dumping money into this thing like nothing elese. I drove a 98 12 v today and it shifted a lot different than mine. Mine shifts really late and early. like taking off...... it shifts to 2 fine than 3- and od is like for ever. It basicly stalls in 2 for 2-3 sec before it will shift and in 3rd. It does the same thing. but if i get into the gas or stomp it it will go stright to over drive and take off like a rocket. my tranny is NEW hvy tq convr, stock body.

also just noticed it is surging badly!! when i get on it it will take off good thin with in 2-3 sec it will fall on its face. than take off. pulling on the highway @ 70 when u hit a hill it will surge badly! Its driving me crazy! is it the over flow valve?? bad fuel pump? Please help!

any idea's? ALso when it shifts in to od it is very harsh.

Try adjusting the cable from the throttle to the tranny.

OH its much better! It was adjusted all the way back toward the fire wall. i took it out about 1/4 in. better for sure thank u!

THE SURGING problem im having is when i stomp it and hold it down for more than a few secs it will start cuting out and blowing BLUE smoke. its right around the 2200 rpm mark than it will bog to about 1800 rpm and take back off. This is what im taking about the ( SURGING ISSUE)
I tryed to shim the front fuel plug ( ON THE DV HOUSING?? ) with a 1/8 washer from the out side of the housing. It didnt seem to do anything at all.
