governor spring plug

governor spring plug

So when i look at my pump i dont see a plug over my adjusting nut, could my pump be leaking oil from there?

I would assume that if the nut that covers the gov spring is missing, you'd be leaking more than a little.

Ok so where could i buy one. cause mine leaks a good litte bit each night

As yellow yoda already posted: If the plug was missing, "you'd be leaking more than a little".
The cover is stamped steel with a formed hex. A 7/8" socket will fit the hex to reove/install the cover. Look for a lockwire across the cover.

You would probably lose half your oil in ten miles if the plug was missing.

Plug is the hex head lower left

Ya wel i see a lot f oil around there so itjust looked like it was that but i guess not i took some stuff off so i could get a better look... the oil is just bothering me
