Governor Pressure Voltage High?????
My truck has 245,000 miles on it. It runs like a champ and I have owned it for 3 months, when I got it It had a fresh transmission and 7,000 miles on it. Now it just left warrenty period.... and still on has only 15,000 miles on it. It has a B&M shift kit and an aftermarket torque converter. When I put the pedal to the floor it will go like normal until it has to shift, than it will hesitate for about 5 seconds before a firm shift, every time at wot. Then it has a problem with staying in a gear when downshifting for acceleration. It will almost seem to just free rev then it will firmly shift into the desired gear. But that is a rare occurace and it NEVER shudders or slips when under a load. It will tow a 24" goose neck and tractor fine as long as I dont put it to the floor. If i place it in 4x4, place the p-brake on, and hold the brake and floor the pedal it will travel to about 1500 rpm and hold firm with no shuddering. but harsh downshifts cause hesitation for a gear. It will cruise fine. Last night I hooked a code reader up to it and pulled a code, I dont remember the PO number but it said Governor pressure voltage high????? How do I adjust or test this?
First, check fluid in neutral. Then check line pressure in drive at idle. Could be pressure is too high. B&M is known for mainly just jacking up pressures in their kits. This can cause problems. First things first.

if your line pressure is to high it will cause a fault with the Gov pressure transducer, you can adjust what the PCM sees by installing a voltage regulator From DTT. you should confirm line pressure if possible. also your TPS or the Gov Pressure Transducer will give the same indicators also. if it coded as line pressure than its probably the B&M causing it. Call DTT for tech help Great people to deal with. Hope this helps.

http://www.dieseltrans.com they also have a Forum with lots of tech on it. you may want to call an talk to them about your problem, also to get the regulator I dont think its on there site.
BTW I had to replace my Gov Pressure Transducer I bought it from the local Dodge dealer $80.00

i would also check to see if the shop that put the B&M kit in put the resistor in the signal wire for the pressure sensor, seen more than one do that before.
