governor arm
governor arm
ok b4 u all yell at me and tell me to use a search........ im just a little confused on adj the governor arm i have a #6 plate and i realize that they say to adjust the lever so the lever hits at the tip of the bottom nose on the plate......... but the 6 plate is sort of confusing can someone post a pic of where exactly the arm shoudl touch on a #6 plate???? thanks
Id adjust it to sit on top of that large 'nose' on the plate. I have the same one. Believe me, if you do it too low, youll know! The arm will stick there and youll have no power on the low end at all.
yea thats how it is now.... n othin down low at all!!! very comparible to stock.....so make the bottom edge of the governor arm level or above the outermost hump on the plate??? i wish i could draw a pic right now lol
between the 2 points. it doesnt really matter, as long as it hits the plate. if you screw it so it'll go above the edge where you wrote "here???" the adj screw may fall out, it aint too long on 96 truck
if it rides under the plate (with the fuel shut off solenoid poulled up, then you may loose power!
at least 1/8" from the very bottom i'd say
