Fuel shutoff lever
I ran a jumper to the red wire, which is the 12v constant and ran a a ground wire to the ground on the selonoid and the selonoid would still not hold up after i engergized it . I pushed it up with my hand and it would fall right back down. If i run a jumper to the middle prong on the selonoid it will pull up, so i think the selonoid is junk. It is not staying energized with a constant 12v. This sound correct??
Sounds like the solenoid is done or the wires to it are broken under the insulation.
Pretty rare for a solenoid to go out unless it is visibly burnt up, I'd keep the jumpers hooked up and wiggle the wires around before I'd go out and buy a new one.

Yeah, i dont understand why it stopped working, like you said, wires may have broke inside. I talked to the guy i bought the truck from today and asked him if the solenoid was new for warranty reasons and he said no, that a friend of his had given it to him so who knows what it has been through. It looks likes it in real good condition on the outside. Oh well i guess, i ordered a new solenoid from TST today, should have it on Wed. Thanks for everyones help, much appreciated!!
