needing help asap. i have a 91 w250 12valve with 175000 about an hour ago i ran to the store in it and when i got back letting it idle to check the trans the fuel pump is leaking fuel at the shaft that the throttle linkage is connected to. this is my first civilian diesel so any help is appreciated.

 

thats the ve pump. how many miles on it?

 

It has 175000 miles on it original pump, it still fires up and runs no problem just leaking, its the injection pump not fuel pump

 

Does anyone kno of a seal kit u can get or somewhere I can find a write up on similar problems

im gonna venture to say that'll need to be serviced by the diesel shop.....

 

Find a good pump shop. Had the p-pump on my 95 rebuilt & re-calibrated a few years ago & It was around $500-$550.

 

Well crap I was hoping to not have to do that

 

aight found a shop, the guy said if i had any type of diesel kno-how i could do it just being careful with what i was doing, ordered a re-seal kit from bosch and istalling it at the shop tuesday.
