what does the p pump need for fuel pressure to live a happy life i am going to install a second tank for wvo and was going to use a electric pump but i want to make sure it has the right pressure to the ip iam going to make it so they are two systems as much as possible.

 

25-28 at idle, 35-38 at WOT give or take a few pounds ( from memory ).

 

Need to also look for volume also .
I have been fallowing the alt. fuel thing for some time , and would suggest putting the time , effort & expense into processing in bio-diesel , for a bunch of reasons , 1st is too much info out there indicating WVO/SVO creating issues in truck , adding more systems to truck is going to make less reliable / more things to fail , by the time its all done [ not counting damage from WVO ] it costs about the same or less to build a processor , leaving any hassle at home .

 

My 98 shop manual says 17-25 at idle and 25-35 at 2500 rpm no load.

 

will it hurt the pump to run a constant 30 psi

 

My cruising psi has been 32 since the truck was new almost 300k ago.
If it hurts it's taking it's sweet time.

 

mine runs at 15PSI at idle and about 21PSI at about 2250RPM

 

You probably need a new overflow valve.
