fuel filter question
fuel filter question
i'm new to the world of 2nd gen... i have a 97 3500 that is leaking fuel from the top of the filter. it is coming from the banjo fitting closest to the cab. i tried tightening up the banjo fitting where i saw the fuel coming from but i didn't have that much success. so i'm wondering why it started leaking and if i just need to fashion a special tool for tightening that nut or should i replace the copper washer because maybe the seal is damaged or something else all together. any suggestions would be much appreciated. oh the reason i started poking around in the first place is that the truck is having a hard time starting which now it seems like is the result of air intrusion through that leaky banjo bolt.
yep ! change them dudes out !!! my 97 started leaking , hard to start . took it up t the school n let the kids play . my daughter changed em for me and she runs great now. i dont have the part #'s now but theyre not hard to find. either 2 or 3 different sizes so be sure to get the right ones .
