Make sure the turbo is clocked so the drain is at the very bottom and use a longer hose at the block if necessary.

Is it a thread issue or a lining up with the original drain hose issue? I had to get a couple of thread pieces to make mine work. The new turbo and the old oil line both had female ends I believe.

Bolt the turbine section to the manifold tight. Loosen the clamp bolts on the centersection so it can turn. You can turn it and bolt up the drain pipe tight. Then retighten the clamp bolts.
