Fuel filter canister difference

I just noticed on my fuel filter canister the pipe plugs for tapping into on the top of the canister are not there???There isnt even the bosses there to drill and tap into? My 98 24v had them yet the 98 12v dosent..... what gives, do you think DC knew?
Anyway where are you taping into for your fuel pressure on these canisters, I couldnt find anywhere?

The 12 valves had two types of fuel filters, a canister type pre '97 and cartridge after that.
None have the test ports the 24 valves have.
No big deal to remove the injection pump inlet banjo bolt and tap it to a 1/8" port.
Make sure to use a valve almost closed on the line to the gauge or pulsations from the lift pump will destroy the gauge in less than a minute.

Thanks Bill
I havent droped out the filter yet on this on but I'm hoping its the same as my 24v as I got 2 filters sitting on the shelf. I thought the filters were the same from 97-2000?
I think I might try drilling and taping the top of the filter canister, that way I can run the pre and post filter gauge set-up I kept off the old truck. I'll probly pull it out and look next week.
