friction modifier in syn gear oil?

i am looking to get some amsoil or similar synthetic into my differentials soon. can anyone tell me if this requires a certain type of friction modifier for the limited slip?

Some brands need modifier, others don't, plus the amount of wear on the clutch pack makes a big difference.
In other words there are no set rules, just make some tight turns, if the rear end growls add modifier from any autoparts half tube at a time till the noise on turns stops. If you add too much the clutch will slip, you will no longer have a LSD.

Don't need it in Royal Purple. I just ordered mine from www.karlracing.com. Best price I've found. They're in CO too I think.

I haven`t done my 2500`s axles yet but I changed out both axles on my Dakota with Mobil 1 and did not need a friction modifier for my limited slip.It had the Chrysler 91/4" rear end-3.92 gears.
