I was having a problem with the old EVS 11 Security Plus 05011619AA security system, so I bought a new module. It installed & works perfectly. However, I would like to be able to set it with the same features as the previous module. The new one arms everything automatically after 1 minute. My old one would disable the starter only. The dash light would flash flash, but wouldn't arm the entire vehicle until it was manually locked. I tried matching the DIP switches, but no change. I'm sure there is a fix, but there is nothing mentioned in the little, almost useless manual that came with the module. It tells me how to set valet mode, but that's only a temp fix.

A couple of dealerships would only say, "Bring it in. We'd love to help you."

I've searched the net but can't find any manuals to describe what the DIP switches control. Does anyone have a link for a manual or know how to set the switches? I can't open the door without either pressing the unlock or setting the alarm off. My wife keeps forgeting. Neighbours are getting a little PO'd. It's now becoming a pain in the ***.

 

does the manufacturer have a tech hotline? i seriously doubt any of us on this site will of that much help with an aftermarket security system. not trying to be a downer jus speaking the truth...the manufacturer wud be the 1st place id go. see if maybe you cud a system wiring diagram out of them.
