Many 12 v trucks have exhaust brakes. Not cheap, not easy, but I wouldn't be without it. Describe your truck and usage.

Going from memory...

I believe 12Vs really need an exhaust valve spring change from 30lb springs to 60lb springs. Autos need either a mystery switch to lock the TC or an exhaust brake controller. For pricing check out places like BD, Pakbrake (sp?), etc...

I love my Pacbrake....I wouldn't want to be without it. I use mine every day.

Like Vssman said, 12v's require an exhaust valve spring swap to the heavier 60 lb springs so that they don't float under the intense back pressure that the EB creates.

Fill out your sig so that we know what you are driving.....BTW, auto or stick?

1996 CTD, Auto. All stock. I pull a trailer here and there. I like the idea because of less wear on the brakes and of course they sound really good.
