98 Quad Cab Dually Auto.

While driving, the truck will randomly light up the "overdrive off" button on the dash and shift out of overdrive, seemingly just for fun.

Any idea what would cause this?

I have heard that they all do this some. Mine has done it a few times before. Id say if it doesent do it all the time, then I just wouldnt worry about it.

I have a similar problem with my 98 2500 Club Cab. The button in the shift lever is ultra sensitive, you only have to brush the lever and it will knock it in/out of O/D.
