my 98 will only hit 700 deg pulling a hill will the mods in my sig what gives and what should I do next?

 

Is your probe pre or post turbo?

Even if it is post, that sounds way too low. Your highway cruising egt's should be somewhere in the 600-750 range assuming that the probe is pre turbo. Have you checked all of your connections? I would suspect that it has something to do with the egt gauge, box, or probe rather than the rest of your truck unless it is being a real dog.

 

with the 215's and 181's, you have the ability to hit 1600. yours does seem low.

 

Pre-turbo probe, it must need more fuel. If the timing jumped would show low egt?

 

I would check you probe, i can hit 1000 pretty easy and i only have a fuel plate and cranked star wheel.
