I don`t know what the truck was 2x or 4x , why would that make a difference? I filled my signature out in my profile but it doesn`t show up .

if its out of a chevy or ford it could still have 3.55's and disk brakes, the year can help in determineing the lug pattern, compatibility is different between all axles some are easier some are not, width of the axle (dually or not or if its out of a ford/chevy then the width is entirely different), spring pad locations are different, sway bar brackets could be different and the ABS ring on the carrier could have a different tooth count. shock locations, ect also if its a dana 60, 70 or dana 80 is just nice to know could have came out of a gas powered 3/4 ton dodge with a rear dana 60 (not so good in a diesel application).

So details help us in determineing exactly what you have since we cant see it, the more info the better we can try and help.

I believe the parking brake cable is different, so that is the only road block yo u might have.

is it a Dana 70 or dana 80.

i dont think the 70 was offered on the diesel one tons but ive been known to smoke crack occassionally and be wrong about that SO.... if it is a D70 everything from the axle flange out will bolt onto your rear D80 axle and that would be the way to go if it is a 70 otherwise if its an 80 it is a bolt in deal, slap her in and go. figure an afternoon of swapping undo the u bolts from the springs and slide it in there, plug the ABS sensor in it all is a plug in and play deal

94-02 3500 CTD Dodges were only ever offered with a D80 rear.........if the D80 in question is factory equipped with disc brakes then it can only be a 01.5-02 model year axle....I don't know if a different master cylinder, bias valve or ABS pump is used or not........the axle assembly itself is a direct bolt-in swap.

I would GUESS you would need to change the master cylinder. With most drum to disk swaps you need a new master cylinder to provide the calipers with more VOLUME of brake fluid than wheel cylinders require.

I believe you are correct I have heard of the master cylinders having to be changed, I do know some of the guys on the nw bombers have done the swap you should ask them if ya don't find your answer here.
