Re:DRAIN PLUG SIZE

What torx? None of the stock or aftermarket plugs that I know of use a torx for the pan plug.

Re:DRAIN PLUG SIZE

Mine does. may be aftermarket. I usually use a heavy equip. shop for oil changes but have moved. Guess i will probably just go and buy the entire set, should have done it years ago!!

Re:DRAIN PLUG SIZE

My 97 has a drain plug that loosens with a 3/8" square drive ratchet. By the way, does anyone know if the drain plug will loosen easier when cold than when warm? Mine seems to have "self tightened" like so many others have experienced....put a lot of loosening torque on it just now and it wouldn't budge...waiting for it to cool down some before I try again. Last time I changed oil it was a lot tighter than I remember torquing it to also. I'm going to try a different plug this time.

try a breaker bar. I have twisted a couple of cheap 3/8 extensions and ratchets :'(
