Dowel Pin TST Kit
We have to replace the Engine Radiator in our 1995 2500 .
When we have the radiator out would this make it easier to check and secure pin with the TST kit???
Thanks

Ud be surprised how much room you have even without removal of the Radiator..
It is not a tough job at all to do. But yes you will have more room to work with. You wont need much. This is my writeup and it will tell u what i thought of it honestly..

Re: KDP
I have noticed on a few of my 12valves that the dealers where pining the dowel pins from the outside of the case .
If you look at your timing cover , just above the tach trigger ...You may see a counter sunk allen screw ... they did work ... I had one apart and that screw did the trick .. it kept the pin from walking out .
If you see that someone pined it from the outside .
I still did mine from the inside ... depends on your piece of mind .
I would just get the parts from cummins , the tab is like a dollar , you may need a sleeve for the crank if you have a deep groove , you will need a crank seal and a cover gasket .
And read what the guy above said in his link .

Easy to do even with the rad inplace. TST kit: a good one..
Unless you just really want to have a cool piece of cardboard backing laying around that has "CUMMINS" printed all over it, just reuse the old cover gasket. If I had it to do over again, I'd save the $$ and just reuse it.
But, since it was my new-to-me baby, I did put a new one in. But i'll tell you the truth, there was NOTHING wrong with the old metal gasket that cleaning off and using the TST kit's included grey silicone sealer wouldn't handle.
