Disappearing Dipstick
The first part to go was the handle on the dipstick. The next thing to go was the dipstick. After checking out all 12 Valve posts, I was off to Geno's for a new dipstick. The "Cheap" dipstick at Geno's was $65. So out come the tools and 30 minutes later the old dipstick was easily fished out by removing the hose clamp where the dipstick tube enters the block and scooting the tube up a couple of inches and feeding the dipstick back where it belongs. With a newly fabricated handle from scrap, I was back in business. Next, I will tackle the water pump. Another easy job from what I read here. Thanks for all the help.
