Differential oil changes
'97 2500, 5 spd, 4x4 limited slip. I thought it was Dana 70 rear, Dana 60 front. I'll double check. So what fluid? Syn. or Dino? Doing both front and rear. And what additive?
Thanks for any info.

The pricier synthetics don't technically require any additive, though some have needed it. With limited slip I had real good luck with Lucas 80-90, might want to step up to 75-140 if you tow a lot (I did).
I've had the Lucas in my front end for well over 120k mi now and it hasn't given me any troubles yet. The rear gets changed every 25k with the gearbox fluid, but the D70 bearings gave up after 240k. 70k of that was with the 5spd, and I filled the case full of mud/water around 220k and blew out all the foamy oil on the highway. I attribute the death of it to that mostly.
If you have a 5 speed it came with a Dana 80 from the factory, a touch over 5 qts to fill up BTW. Still a D60 up front.
