Did you know, you might want a heat shield for your pcm?
I guess I have to word this thread a certain way because of the over zealous rulers of this site. My first thread disappeared, and I have no message, thanks.......cause this could actually help someone.
I wa stowing over I70 through the rockies, at about 11000 feet, when the down pipe from my big turbo came off. They have large (speed bump size) road transistions up there, and they are harsh. It was night time, and it cooked my pcm, the ac lines, the heat shield, and the bhaf......literally, so maybe build a heat shield for the pcm if you run twins...or have a down pipe that runs by the pcm, maybe protect it.
On a side note I need a rather RARE 98 12v stick pcm.....if you know where I could find one that would be great. I have a 56040139AB pcm.
So far I have not found one by a dealer. Some advertise it but when you actually try to get it, they are unavailable.
