dangling vacuum line

This afternoon I changed my fuel filter. While doing it I noticed a vacuum line hanging there not connected to anything. I looked all over for where it may go. nothing was obvious.
It comes out of the fire wall, up high just inboard of the brakes and sort of above the fuel filter. There are two lines there coming out of the same spot. One is a long one that goes under the drivers side battery (Cruse control?)
Any ideas where the other goes (Please tell me it goes to something on the cruise, 'cause it don't work.)

That looks like the main one that goes to the vacuum pump. I am probably wrong on this, but take a look to see if the vac. line is hookes to the pump.

Seems like I heard someone say the vacuum pump is on the back of the power steering pump?

Yes it is. It is on the drivers side. Hooked to the back of the front case, with the power steering pump hooked to that. If that helps any.
You will see a nipple (if the vac. line isnt attached). The nipple is on a horizontal pointing toward the driver fender.

Found it Tony, You were right. There is a big line that goes up to the brake booster, and it has a tee into that. Thanks.
Now if that was off from earlier, maybe my cruise will work now, or maybe I knocked it off when changing the filter. I am goin for a drive!

That line controls ALL the vac. in the truck. So that means, if it was off, you wouldnt have 4wd, defrost only and no cruise.
Glad I could help.
