i have a D70 in pieces that is a disc axle...my 94 is a drum axle obviously. is there any difference in the axle ends where the backing plate mounts up between these two axles or wud i be able to bolt on my caliper brackets directly to my existing D70 axle and use the disc hubs and hardware?? also I will be deleting my RABS anyone got a 20 on the abs computer?
I just bolted up the entire disk rear axle, the brake lines were not exact and nor was the ebrake but pedal feel rocks now

it wasnt to bad, after breaking 2 teeth of the pinion while checking my torque converter stall speed I found a dude with a wrecked '01 or '02 automatic with the same gear ratio. Bought it for $200 and packed it home, bolted right up! the brake lines were a tad thicker on the new axle and the abs sensor had a diff plug. swapped sensors, cut my old brake lines off and re-flared them and in a few hours everything except the E brake was working good! Ebrake still down, could use advice on that

I put a 2002 disc brake rear end under my truck a year ago, and it's one of the best things I ever did to my truck. It took about a day. Here's how I solved the parking brake problem:
