Cruise control not working

last weekend I replaced my front main seal, went ahead and pulled gear cover to do KDP. now i don't have cruise control. Is there a relation here or coincidence? does the speed sensor on the crank affect the cruise control? Busy week, may not get to check responses till next week but going on trip and was hoping it was something simple

thanks for any help, pacmule

It does, but if you have tach, that isn't it. Most likely you have lost Vacuum, check to see if your HVAC has defaulted to defrost.

Start tracing the vacuum line from the pump to the cowl, above the hydraboost, probably just pulled loose and leaking.

Check vac line to cruise servo under drivers side battery if all lines as stated above check good.

If you removed the washer reservior, you probably hit the cruise vacuum line.

FYI, my cruise vacuum line was rubbed through, on the backside of the vacuum line (not visible unless I ran my fingers along the line), where the line rubbed against the brake line by the master cylinder.

thanks all for responses, was able to briefly look at it before leaving and indeed I broke off the vacuum line just past the elbow coming out of cruise control servo. I was not able to reach in there and remove the rubber elbow, wife tried to help and broke another piece off the hard line. will try to pull battery and get in there sometime in next week or so

thanks again, pacmule
