bought a 97' cab and chassis truck a few weeks ago and had some trouble with the tach jumping &/or not working which leads to the alernator not charging etc. ordered a new crank or engine speed sensor as its referred to & put it on last fri. tach worked perfectly until yesterday when it just quit again, popped the hood this morning to find the dang thing had slid down & rode the balancer for who knows how long so now I have a $130 or so crank sensor that doesnt work, any ideas other than ordering a new one & trying again? could i change the gap in it to make it pick up again, or did I fry the coils inside the thing???? thanks alot, Dusty

thats what i was afraid of, you can bet i'll torque down those stupid nuts alot better this go round, thought I had plenty the last time, but i guess not.........
