Cracked rims
Has anyone had an issue with their rims cracking? I now have my second rim which has cracks on the inner bead area. i replaced one already, and am wondering how long before the other two crack.

You must have the aluminum ones they seem to be good for doing that my buddys 01 2500 gasser just cracked his 3rd one on Sunday had a tire getting soft pulled it and that is what he found.
He is now looking for a good buy on a set of slotted chrome steel wheels he has had enough.

Yes it is the second gen OEM aluminum ones that give all the trouble i have not heard or any 3rd gen doing it. Most of them crack in the bead area on the inside but they have done it on the outside as well .

I just put on my winter wheels (stock 96 chrome steelies) and was thinking "boy, the backs of these things are pretty rusted and flakey. I should watch ebay for a set of aluminum ones from a 98-02 truck." That plan is out the window.
