I was thinking on swaping out my auto for a 5speed does anyone know how is the computer going to react to the auto transmission being disconnected I know that it does not control the engine in anyway but I would like to know if anyone has any insight as what I might expect

 

I would HIGHLY recomend that you just sell your truck and just get one that already has a 5 speed. You will come out far ahead that way. The only other option would be to find another truck that is identical accept for the tranny and trade the parts. It is way easier to just get another truck. jmho + $.02
